Across South India alone, the mangalsutra takes many shapes — the Tamil thirumangalyam, the Telugu pustelu with its two gold discs, the Kannadiga karimani, the Malayali ela-thali. Telangana mangalsutra designs are a speciality of our Warangal branch bench: the twin-disc pustelu on hand-strung karimani, bottu pendants, and the longer black-bead chains worn through the Telangana districts — each made true to local custom in 22K (916) hallmarked gold. We craft each design true to its regional grammar — and offer modern diamond-set chains for the bride who wants the sentiment in a contemporary form.

Yes — many of our customers re-string an heirloom pendant on a new karimani chain. We sell both separately.
What chain length should I choose?+
Most prefer 18 inches for daily wear, 20–24 inches for layered or under-blouse wear.
